Who You Are Dealing With
We work on garage doors in Lorain and the surrounding area
Where most houses went up between 1938 and 2002, with the bulk of the stock dating to the 1960s and '70s. That matters more than it sounds like it should. A door installed on a 1965 ranch has different track spacing, different spring sizing, and often a different mounting style than anything built after 2000, and the two don't take the same parts off the same shelf.
Our territory runs out to places like Amherst, Sheffield, Sheffield Lake, and Vermilion
With jobs further out toward Avon, Oberlin, and Westlake when the schedule allows it. Across that area there are roughly 120,268 households and about 71,792 owner-occupied houses, spread over more than twenty distinct named areas, each with its own mix of eras and builders. We've learned to carry parts for both the old torsion setups from the '60s stock and the newer extension-spring builds that showed up in later additions.

Winters here are cold enough that steel contracts, lubricant stiffens, and openers that were already weak tend to quit in January rather than June
We size our stock and our scheduling around that pattern, not around a generic service-call model built for a warmer climate.
Getting Hold of Us
Call 1-440-218-4885. If you'd rather come by, we're at 5401 Baumhart Rd, Lorain, OH 44053. That's the number and address to use - we don't run a separate dispatch line or a call center, so when you call, you're reaching the same shop that does the work.
If you're not sure whether what you're dealing with is worth a service call - a door that's noisy but still closing, an opener that works most of the time - describe it on the phone and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a quick fix, something that can wait, or something you should stop using today. A door hanging unevenly on its cables isn't something to sit on.
Work We Turn Down
We don't do new construction framing or structural work - if your opening needs to be rebuilt or resized, that's a carpenter's job before it's ours. We also won't try to patch a door that's cheaper to replace than repair; on a lot of the older stock in this area, a cracked or rotted wood panel from the original build is past the point where a patch makes sense, and we'll say so instead of billing for a repair that won't hold through another cold snap.
Parts for some of the original hardware on houses from the 1960s and earlier aren't something we keep on the truck - certain older torsion drums and some discontinued opener models need to be sourced, which can mean a short wait before the job's finished. We'd rather tell you that up front than promise a same-day fix we can't back up.
We also don't do garage interior build-outs, flooring, or insulation work unrelated to the door and opener system itself. If a job falls outside doors, springs, tracks, and openers, we'll say so and point you toward the right kind of contractor rather than taking it on anyway.
